      Secure position, good educational opportunities, possibilities to travel internationally (US, European Union)

      Cons

      Planning can be complicated, especially in the first 2 years (if you enlist for 8+ years) as even fixed schedules are subject to change (sometimes on last minute - Friday to arrive on Monday at the other end of Germany instead of 8 weeks later).
