      Pros

      Fair compensation for market place, decent work-life balance for employees. It can provide you with a steady job with minimal room to grow, if that is what you are looking for.

      Cons

      Crowded at the top, minimum room for advancement. The growth opportunities within the company seem minimal at this point, with the recession and lack of any internal or external growth with in the last 4 years. Big push on out sourcing work to India, and trimming costs in North America as much as possible. Stock price is back at same level it was 5 years ago, with no dividends paid.

      Pros

      They are extremely flexiable. I'm not sure where else I could work from home (another provice) for a few weeks with out having to take vacation. Also it seems that I might have lucked out after getting a significant raise each year to the point where I am making almost twice my starting salary. Perhaps I lucked out with a good Director.

      Cons

      I know I could get paid more elsewhere... But I guess that is the trade off. The skill level of some managers is quiet obvious, you can luck out and get one who is good, and not an ass, or strike out and get one who is bad and an ass.

      Pros

      There really is no good reason to join CGI, Get some experience then get out or else you will get stuck in the mud of incompentant managers and Team Leaders alike. Like I said before learn from this company be objective when looking for a job after you leave this company in the dust, because thats all that there will be when you leave.

      Cons

      There are NO more raises in IT and Helpdesk for Quebec anymore. They told us that its becasue we are in a recession with the US. This company has gone too far in taking things away from the workhorses. Avoid this company like the plague.
