      Pros

      Great name to have on the resume, stability, a lot of resources to grow professionally for those who look (not on the job though in most cases), decent compensation. I like the HR department. A lot of interesting people to work with.

      Cons

      The promotion system does not work correctly - working harder hardly working... Too much talk too little business, but one can call it a "process". Engineering grades do not have anything to do with the individuals' competence.

      1. my employer is very open about work life. My schedule is pretty flexible, it fits my family and personal activities. 2. I the pay compensation is pretty competitive, I am fairly sastified with my compensation. 3. I like the team members in my immediate group.

      Cons

      1. The annual review process is convoluted. It takes up too much time and pretty irrevelant to what you going to get. I think your annual review is already decided before you even start writting your review. 2. I still don't understand the promotion process at cisco systems. It seems like when an employee works beyond his or her responsibilities, the promotion should be award. But that's not the case, there is a process that managers need to follow.

      Pros

      Good Telecommuting program and benefits. Some of the best engineers in the field work here and still enjoy the work.

      Cons

      Highly political, takes too long for decisions, kiss ass culture for better ranking and promotion, Dictatorial executive management in some BUs, Sr. management clueless. Experience and results doesn't count for compensation and promotion.
