      Pros

      technology driven, support for self-study and support/demand to develope yourself. Charity support and engagements. Flexible working time and working from everywhere

      Cons

      always reachable if you dont train yourself - it is not requested sometimes wished but if you have vacation you havd vacation.

      Pros

      Cisco developed the internet. They're now at the centre of revolutionizing software defined networks. Cisco offers a trust-based work environment. You can work from anywhere on earth (many work from home) as long as you have internet access. Exciting, international project opportunities. I work in at least two different countries per month. I worked in the UK, Germany and USA during the last three weeks and am frequently provided with opportunities to facilitate workshops with senior leadership. We also give back to the community both financially and through community projects for those in need. Cisco staff are "family" and we live, work, give back and play together. Yes, there were redundancies but that happens in many companies. This really is a great place to work!

      Cons

      Slow to promote those who've earned it. People stay because it is a great place to work... But most successful employees know they'd have a higher position elsewhere.

      Pros

      You are able to work with some of the best and smartest folks in the industry. Compensation is good and and opportunities to advance are available, even though competition is tough. The company knows how to align employee behavior with the goals of the company.

      Cons

      It is a "Hero-to-Zero" company. Come end of July the latest, expect major shifts in focus areas, responsibilities, expectations. In sales, do expect your targets to go up in a way that makes you ask "How possibly can I achieve that ?". Feature velocity in products sometimes low as there are sometimes too many diverging interests.
