Pros

Great culture and benefits. They seem to truly care about their employees' well being.

Cons

They keep changing their minds about allowing remote work. When I started it was 2 days a week from home. Then it was 2 days at the office. Now they are going to 4 days in office. My position was classified as fully remote, but now they are trying to reclassify it to the 4 days in office. It's hard to live under this type of uncertainty.

Pros

- Colgate-Palmolive is a globally recognized brand with a strong legacy in consumer goods, making it a great place to gain experience - Access to extensive tools & resources in digital technology - Talented colleagues and teams who are passionate about their subject matter

Cons

- Limited growth, opportunities: career progression can feel stagnant. There’s often a lack of clear pathways for advancement and internal mobility is only prioritized if you’ve been working for the company for 5+ years. - Resource constraints and overload: While the company has ambitious goals, there’s often a mismatch between expectations and the resources provided to execute them effectively. Teams frequently operate in a lean structure, making it difficult to scale properly. - Slow decision-making and bureaucracy: as with many large corporations, internal processes can be rigid and slow, moving, which can hinder agility. Status in the organization / Who you know / Name dropping is a thing here - Lack of trust: Leadership structures can sometimes be overly controlling, making it challenging to take ownership autonomously of project without excessive oversight. - Inconsistent support for innovation: While the company emphasizes digital transformation there is a gap between vision and execution with many initiatives lacking the necessary investment and long-term commitment

Pros

Managers can be accommodating and you do not feel immediate pressure to develop like in a startup.

Cons

Too many to name: - Everyone manages up, no one manages down - Management is often confused - If you are in a wrong hierarchy you will never advance - Marketing over science
