      All good things come to an end

      Pros

      Great people and sound engineers. Feel of a small company while working for a large corporation. Empowered to use the best tools and solutions (although this may change...)

      Cons

      A lot of jobs being eliminated or moved to Michigan. The experience may greatly differ according to business units and even individual teams.

      Pros

      Decent health benefits and compensation. Management is upfront with it's people in difficult times and I respect that. Flexibility in start time and time off policies are excellent.

      Cons

      Cooperation between groups or business fields is sometimes somewhat limited.Better communication between groups could be established and invite a true team atmosphere. The merging of 3 companies ( Conti, SVDO, and Motorola ) has been a long drawn out process.

      Pros

      Continental is a global company, so you get a chance to interact with a very diverse workforce. Many opportunities to travel, in US and international. Overall, the management provides a good workflow and directiion for both new and existing projects. They benefits were better in 2008, but the cuts so far in 2009 have been reasonable.

      Cons

      The company now is a blend of old Conti, Siemens VDO and Motorola Automotive. The integration of all the work systems has been slow, almost glacial. The email system in the old Conti was Lotus notes (very bad), and Lotus was kept over the better email (Outlook) that was used at the former Siemens and Motorola business.
