All the cons that you could possible think of about a job. The job posting was 1000% misleading. Instead of telling individuals this was a commission based job, they leave that information out. The salary listed with the job posting was a range, sort of like they were trying to imply that the salary may be based on experience. Once you make it through the 1st interview and are invited to a 2nd one, which is what they call a shadow day, you find out the real deal. Basically you spend all day outside in different boroughs of NY, which is terrible in the winter, going from door to door. All of this information is left out of the 1st interview, you don't find out about any of this until you are leaving the building for the "shadow day". After about 5 hrs doing shadow door to door "work", which is really harassment, you find out that the job is 100% commission. It is required that employees go to 100-125 doors a day. I feel that this is important information that should have been listed on the job posting or at least given during the 1st interview. It would save both parties a lot of time. The salary is commission which is pushed back for the 1st 3 weeks you work, even though I was told the salary was paid weekly, behold they went after a 3 week hold on income. The average paying commission, whether a base is included or not, doesn't hold commissioned income more than 2 weeks, RED FLAG! They also never paid me for the sales that I received the few days that I did work there. I was never given a drug test nor background check, which was essential for me to get my own company agent code to log my sales, which I never received. I also had no form of identification when going from door to door, so I always ended up looking like a lair or someone with some hidden motive and that I didn't represent the company that I said I did. Incompetence across the board. Looks like they were only concerned with the bottom line for them, not actually making sure that the employees were satisfied or properly trained and equipped. Oh and the job title was misleading as well in my opinion. Also there is no compensation given for travel. The office is located very close to Times Square, but you leave the office everyday to go to other boroughs and have to come back to the office prior to getting off. One could end up spending $10-15 a day unless you have an unlimited metro. The work schedule is mandatory 6 days a week,12 hour work days, with no based salary, and you end up spending $60-90 a week just for commuting for work purposes. Beware of New York Client Solutions as well. The company is in the same building, on the same floor, in the same office, funny right?! The objective and company operations work the same.
