Pros

Interesting co-workers always making themselves available.

Cons

Very strict procedures. Sometimes it's hard for people to think beyond their current practice, product and segments. Hard to escalate innovative ideas.

Pros

Berlin is a lively alternative city. Work life balance is quite good

Cons

DB Risk Centre is sold as a unique division of DB with great talents. However the level of workers is very uneven and it is not uncommon to see managers with no experience at all either managing or in banking. Turnover is incredibly high, around 1 year, which means: you go, realise it is not for you within one month and start looking somewhere else. Many people from Italy, Spain, Greece think they are offered a good salary compared to their countries, but the truth is that it is dramatically below the average for Germany. There were legal actions against DB Risk Centre for contracting people with salaries below legal minima. It is a compromise between Frankfurt and Mumbai: donkey work slightly cheaper than in the headquarter.
