Pros

We always have opportunities to evolve our skills. Always being motivated . Awesome package, not much clarity (no HR) on how to set it up and which plans offer what.. As long as you meet the objectives set for you, you own and manage your work time. This flexibility brings out the best in those who are driven.

Cons

Screening with HR, call with Director (30 mins each). The recruiter really harped on how much they researched and paid attention to the answers. She seemed interested in what I had to offer and I was passed on to the next round. The next call with a higher up was a bit of a mess - no showed at first, then rescheduled our 2nd time around and was late when…

Pros

There are many good things about DocuSign like a full stocked kitchen, great parties for christmas etc.

Cons

Manager was very passive aggressive. They are a very top heavy company with too much management and people with poor social skills are put into management positions. They are growing so fast and not compensating at a rate that is accepted in Silicon Valley, so a lot of the talent that they are hiring isn't really qualified for the roles they are putting them into.

Pros

Very good work/life balance. Market leader. Financial outlook is good. If cons of the sort described below don't bother you, you can have a very successful, stable, stress-free 9-5 job.

Cons

Management (in San Francisco at least) has a systemic inability to recognize and correct bad decisions. It seems like they spend most of their time in meetings making excuses so they don't have to take a perceived political hit for making a bad choice, instead of owning it and doing something better. This influence from the top has made its way into individual hiring decisions, where hiring managers make excuses for candidates and look down on anyone who gives negative interview feedback. This has created an engineering culture where people either blindly do what they're told and code exactly to spec (even if it's the wrong thing for customers and the company), or get frozen out, badmouthed, and belittled for speaking their minds and raising valid concerns. Add to this a total lack of technical mentorship or career growth opportunities, and I guess what I'm saying is that it's definitely not an engineering-driven culture.
