      Is close to my home

      Cons

      pay, managers, unreal amount of work expected, high turnover, no communication or mixed communication, LONG hours with one break for me ( not management- they get as many as they want ) and get plenty of sit down time in the office, everyone is constantly complaining about the company and upper management, way to much negative talk on the floor.

      Pros

      Weekly paycheck Easy to move up in the company Breaks are nice compared to other places I've worked at (15 min, 30 min, and 1 hour depending on time worked) The work and register are easy compared to other places (the truck driver unloads the truck) If something goes wrong, upper management is quick to respond and help

      Cons

      Cashiers can not void items or transactions and cannot price scan using the computer or we get written up for it. Seems silly since I have been able to do all 3 of those at my other retail jobs. Customers can be very rude but that is expected when working in retail Way too much employee drama No employee discount It is very easy to get "written up" for little things People get fired and quit very frequently Managers work by themselves at times and pull double shifts a lot A lot is expected of a manager such as recovering most of the store by themselves every night Only one manager works at all times (the manager gets interrupted a lot on breaks since there is no manager to cover)

      Good company but woman can't advance

      Pros

      Strong, established company with good growth. Room to advance but woman still don't get the same wages and promotions as men even when they are more qualified.

      Cons

      Under appreciated, under paid, long hours. Large pay difference for women versus men. Good ol boy atmosphere. Must play golf.
