Pros
Everything is about AI, doesn't take much to get your foot in the door and make a difference on an initiative which is nice. Generally feel safe and secure in my job which is nice and still find most people pretty ok to work with, that said leaders are so busy scrambling to sell stuff AI related or in their own world that they just don't come across as human beings when you interact with them, forget getting them to treat you like one. Again though - job security is a big plus especially right now with so much shifting - people want consultants to help guide them through it all.
Cons
Moving towards a much more "pod" based structure (few onshore managers, more offshore workers) to save money. We also seem to be competing with lower "level" competition than I remember in the past. Lots of turnover and have noticed a sharp decrease in overall diversity especially in the tech side, take that how you will. The closer I get to leadership the larger the ratio of bad interactions I have, probably going to be looking elsewhere in the future based on that.
