Pros

Ernst and Young has a good culture, where people are respected, in general there is a decent work life balance and people are nice to work with

Cons

The issue with Ernst and Young is that there is no performance linked bonus so overall the salary turns out to be less than the competitors, moreover growth options are limited, it takes ages to get promoted

Pros

- Good foundation to accounting - Opportunity to interact with great minds in the industry - Experience respected in the industry - Flexibility (especially as one goes up the levels)

Cons

- Not challenging enough - Poor pay (Bonus was a joke!) - Lot of face time (vis-a-vis team work!) - Work life balance can be tough to maintain during busy season which is minimally 4 months of the year plus if on a public client, then add 3 more months to that

Pros

This is a good resume building firm in order to be able to further your career in the future. The firm has excellent technology and technical resources.

Cons

It is difficult to maintain work-life balance due to demanding hours during the multiple busy seasons. There is extensive turnover within the professional staff.
