      Pros

      There are some very capable technical people but there are just as many doing little and hanging on. Austin is more affordable than CA.

      Cons

      Software development is considered less valuable than hardware. There is a bit of a silo mentality which creates competition between teams that should be working together.

      Processes and checks/balances not always followed (no strong rigid process flow which can be good/bad) Company still too consumer product focused (versus corporate) in many divisions

      Pros

      The pay is really nice. 3/4 managers I've had actually seem to care! Nice location for most folks.

      Cons

      They will keep you on contract until they literally cannot anymore. Getting hired on full-time is like pulling teeth.
