Cons

The list is really long. 1. Adobe India is nothing but a name for narcissistic personalities roaming all over who we call as managers and some directors too. 2. Senior management has God complex and enjoy playing with careers of Individual contributors. Managers can use abusive language too. 3. Just to show Integrity, they hire Females but do not have the mannerism or tact to deal with them. The Mental exploitation is to a level that you will be forced to resign and if you become pregnant, it would be the the worst nightmare of your life. 4. My manager even had the guts to ask me to rethink whether i want to proceed with my pregnancy. When i affirmed, he ensured to harass me in all possible ways and even gave me physical effort jobs including picking up of heavy files in my 3rd trimester. All my complaints to ERC (HR) was music on deaf ears and no action was taken. Instead ERC tried to change it into performance based issue. As a result I was harassed further even in taking leaves. The mental torture was so intense that it resulted in complications in my pregnancy. 5. When I was on my maternity leave, under reorganization my team was changed without any intimation and when i rejoined, i was made to work in shifts including night, which was not in my job profile earlier. That is the reason i had to resign. The top management do not have any empathy towards our family life and employees at IC level are treated as slaves. 6. Even while resignation, all the challenges faced during my employment with Adobe was told to ERC (HR) and till now no action has been taken against the manager. 7. Work From Home is not a policy and on Manager's discretion so you can always be ready for denials whatever be the situation until its required by them or you are in good books. 8. People are promoted on basis of yes man ship and favoritism and not on their work and skills. 9. Pathetic organization where you can be more equipped in terms of skills and credentials than your manager and still cant get promotion even to Team Lead level. 10. Senior management does not jot any growth plan. You will be asked to forget Vertical advancement and will be asked to concentrate on Horizontal growth. 11. One of the few organizations who force their employees to move to Contract position from Permanent one.

Pros

* Refreshing focus on employee wellness * Brilliant colleagues * Compelling problems on interesting tools * Good work/life balance culture... generally (see cons) I've been at a few big tech companies and Adobe is one of my favorites. I feel empowered to make impactful changes here, I'm constantly stretching myself in fun ways, and the products we make are incredible. Product and engineering have big dreams, and all the resources we need to realize them.

Cons

* Big time crunch culture around arbitrary goals By far my biggest disappointment has been just how hard product pushes on big projects with arbitrary deadlines and difficult scope. It turns into cutting corners and delivering sub-par experiences even though we absolutely have the talent and capability to make some exceptional things if we just let the dang thing bake a few more months. I'd be more impressed with the tight clip if the goals were reasonable for good business reasons, but as far as I can tell the reason usually boils down to "some high-level manager wanted X and thought Y sounded like a good target date". * Comp growth leaves something to be desired. Raises feel pretty flat, though it's not the worst thing since stock rewards can be pretty good as appropriate for performance. Career progression is pretty good here too - I just find it odd how stale the base pay increases are year to year.
