Pros

The facilities are fantastic, two Cafes, gym, courtyard, covered parking. Certainly no complaints about the physical environment.

Cons

90% of IT is contracted, They bring you in with promise of all the fantastic perks once hired (yet the promise of hire is a carrot on a string, they say its just a few months more, but then keep moving the date out.... They tell you the only difference between FTE and contractors is the color of your badge. Well this is so far from the truth its sad. As a contractor, what you don't get is: respect, opportunity for "employee only functions", (there are a lot of these, you cant participate in events), you get stuck working late when everyone else gets to leave early, the "work" it self isn't tough, time off is usually not an option, especially if your contract doesnt include any pto, they make exceptions for FTE, but the same doesn't apply to the contractor, but as a contractor you do get the stuff no-one else wants to do. You don't get any credit for a job well done, even when you get a fantastic email/review from a customer/co-worker about your above the call of duty work, you get zero praise from management.

Pros

Good benefits, hybrid work arrangement is flexible (you can choose your 3 days in office)

Cons

Tenure and friendship is valued more than actual skillsets. Many people in Ops have no formal college education or true technical skills, and have been complacent in the dept for 10+ years. This leads to inefficient and stale processes that are reluctant to change. The culture is extremely passive aggressive and long-tenured employees are not welcoming to new hires from outside of the organization. People will go out of their way to sabotage opportunities for those offering new perspectives with greater value add. This causes forced interactions with low value collaboration. Many in analytical roles do not even understand basic Microsoft Office skills, Excel functions, V/XLOOKUPS, etc. and data is often reviewed manually per line item… This company is run like a low budget mom and pop shop where inefficient and backwards practices are toxically in circulation.
