Pros

Interesting industry International vibe Travel Work life balance I have worked in various sites of amadeus and even if it has its disadvantages, my comments here are exclusive for the Dallas office (Airline American HQs). It would not be fair to extend this comment to all the sites as in those I have found extremely valuable people and management and in general I think I would still recommend Amadeus as a company to work for (not in Dallas!)

Cons

HR is the most incompetent gang I have found in my entire career Salaries are not competitive Full of bureacracy Mediocre management No career path HR is the most sneaky group of people I have faced in my entire career. They basically trick people from Europe to come here without market references and thereby low wages. As soon as people understand they have been tricked (as I was), they run away given that HR's only answer is going to be: you should have negotiated better. Absolutely useless gang of people that could not care less about employees Management in the Airline side of things (Dallas office) is full of mediocre people that came there either by chance (simply because they were long enough) or pushing all sort of tricky tactics. As a result, we have an office with no direction, managed by people that only take care of positioning themselves properly and full of people that are not motivated and run like headless chickens. In general: - middle management (team leaders) are not suited for the job - Upper management (here I remove the office responsible as I believe she is trying to improve things) is simply full of politics that could not care less about the company or their people's future Needless to say that salaries or benefits are not competitive in the US market (I would say in any market but specially here)

Pros

- Learning opportunities, every day brought something new to tackle or explore - Decent benefits package that covered the essentials - Competitive salary relative to industry standards

Cons

- Management is aggressively enforcing a hybrid model, even for remote employees, and is rescinding previously agreed upon contracts. There's a glaring lack of strategic vision from leadership. - If you're based in Europe or North America, job security is virtually nonexistent unless you're in upper management. Roles are being shifted to India, Colombia, and the Philippines, with cost-cutting prioritized over talent, experience, or loyalty. - The forced migration to Azure, compounded by poor planning, is draining resources. And employees are paying the price — not just through increased workload, but by being let go in recent layoffs (October '25). With many of the positions eliminated quietly transferred to offshore. - Layoffs are being justified as “market alignment” and financial necessity. Yet at the same time, the company continues to absorb small to medium-sized companies, raising serious questions about transparency, priorities, and long-term stability.
