Pros

Do not join if looking for a career in software. Ok to join if looking for career in process engineering, fabrication equipment customer support, Software unit is biased, no opportunity for growth. Left over projects from US. Managers are nothing more than admins and have nothing left left apart from micro managing and backstabbing. Good for 1 or 2 years but do not stay for longer period as favoritism kicks in when one starts expecting growth and better opportunity rewards. I'm this Era of hyper competitiveness and innovation , do not join this company for software. This is utter waste of important phase of career.

Cons

Do not tend to identify talent. Just stick to couple of favorites. Software org has becomes a family business. Does appear like a software company.

Pros

This is a company with a great future and overall many smart and talented work colleagues.

Cons

There are pockets of poorly managed teams and the Global Sourcing and Procurement Team is one of them. Working for GSP was a soul crushing experience. On a regular basis, I witnessed and experienced mobbing, gaslighting, bullying, senior leaders retaliating and weaponizing the 360 feedback program for their own personal gain, senior leaders taking credit for other peoples work, long tenured leaders abusing their relationships within HR, regular staff crying and people admitting to seeking professional help due to the toxic work environment…ptsd in GSP is real. And to top it off, Applied’s most senior leadership have known of these issues for years.
