Pros
Checks came on time. Everyone else hates their job too so you can commiserate with your coworkers. Attractive equity packages if you survive long enough for the shares to vest.
Cons
Compensation isn't great. Broadcom's ruthless approach in the chip market doesn't translate into enterprise software. You'll spend most of your time trying to spin why all of the awful things Broadcom is doing (not innovating products, rapidly increasing customer contract costs, ignoring customer support issues) are positives - customers see right though that.
