Current financial situation is poor and future prospects for the company are bleak. Since the merger of DHL and Airborne there has been no clear direction or vision for the company. There was a wave of almost uncontrolled spending following the merger without a commensurate increase in revenues. Staff and management were added, salaries were increased and titles were inflated. The former DHL and Airborne management were polarized and could not manage to work together for the good of the company.
