Pros

I make my own schedule. It’s the only reason I stay.

Cons

Corporate doesn’t care if the managers have families and want to be with. There is no work/home life balance. They only care about lining their own pockets. Late store hours during holiday season. 6 day must work week.. usually 7 because of the lack of payroll. LOW pay for hourly employees. No sick pay or time for managers(unless required by the state). Will not run the AC below 78 degrees, in Texas, in the middle of summer. This company only cares about their bottom line and not the people that are in the stores making it happen.

Pros

The job itself is easy. The cash register, stocking (especially the totes and dry truck) and cleaning are so simple however there are certain things that make it difficult, although the work itself is not (under the right circumstances.)

Cons

They never have enough people on shift so it’s always difficult to get things done. It seems like all the managers I know from the store I worked at and the surrounding ones are all so deep into drama it made me wonder if I was back in high school. Dry truck always seems to bring far too much and the stores are so little that overstock is a huge issue here. The reason I ultimately left was due to severe mistreatment and some safety concerns I had regarding some past experiences. I am very glad I left and I would not ever go back.
