Pros

You develop a great relationship with your coworkers as you can bond over how awful the company is. I was fortunate enough to work with nice people.

Cons

The company likes to employ inexperienced people in positions of power so that they can use scare tactics to manipulate them into treating the people they’re responsible for terribly. There was a ridiculous amount of favouritism to begin with meaning specific people got their pick of shifts and others were given less. When I first started at the company the training I was given was absolutely minimal. Towards the end of my 3 years with the company the upper managements position on staff was if they aren’t preforming cut their hours, with no attempt to give any kind of incentive for better performance. The pay rise of 50p as a supervisor was ridiculous considering the amount of responsibility that was handed to us. I was also expected to cover multiple night shifts with no extra pay. They ask their area managers to watch the cctv to check up on you as if you can’t be trusted to do your job. They were also encouraged to call stores and tell you that the CEOs were on their way to your store, which I’m fairly positive was for their own amusement as I saw one of them once in the full 3 years I was there. The company basically expects your entire life to revolve around the place when they offer you no reason or incentive for that kind of loyalty.

Pros

It's a job if you have nothing else

Cons

For the most expensive gas station somehow they manage to still be the lowest paid - only being offered a $1 raise for a leadership position when I have over 5 years of management experience is disgusting. They only care about getting people to sign up for rewards and will write you up if you don't get people putting in their number - they basically expect you to hold a gun to the guest head and force them to put their number in - district and regional management only care about juicing their bonuses while the rest of us struggle to pay rent every month - brought this up to regional manger over 3 months ago with a "I'll look into it" yeah right buddy..
