Pros

They did eventually find me some work, which had helped me in a hard time financially. I never had any issues with pay or my client company, who were rather fond of me (as far as I am aware). Had I not been covering a medical leave, I believe I would have received a permanent offer from them.

Cons

My recruiter did not seem to care for me as an Associate. I believe that I bring a fairly strong skill set to the table for most administrative positions, and yet it took half a year for her arrange an interview with a client company, and I basically had to beg for it. I got the job though, and was told that frankly I was overqualified. I e-mailed and checked in with her regularly during my period of unemployment, and I was always met with the same "We just don't have anything right now for you" response. I would often ask of the positions recently advertised on the Express website (along with other local job boards) and was told that they were outdated and needed to be removed. I found this strange because they kept coming up elsewhere, which leads me to think that most (if not all) the time, she was lying to pacify me. Their goal is to recruit, plain and simple. They will do whatever it takes to do this, including creating fake and vague job postings to lure in potential Associates (later telling them that it "just got filled" but that "we'll keep looking for you"), so be careful in your job search. She was also quite rude to me whenever I would check in or speak with her, despite her telling me to do so regularly. My advice to job seekers is not to avoid this place, but just be wary any misdirection by the recruiters. If you have other options, go for them, but if you need extra help/are desperate, then arrange a meeting with a recruiter. Be persistent in checking in and bring up jobs you are interested in as you find them on their website. Don't rely on them to contact you for opportunities (although I'm sure they'll tell you that they'll contact you when they need you!), because that just means that you'll never be considered unless you are a last resort for a desperate, two day placement. They interview a lot of people, it's easy to be overlooked for someone more recent, so keep on checking in. Lastly, don't give up your search just because you have a recruiter now. Keep looking for jobs on your own, because the pay won't be great: they take some as part of their fee, which is standard, but frankly I think they take too much.

Pros

The owner, Jessica, is fantastic as is the sales manager, Kirby. It can be a fun environment and putting people in a position to succeed is always rewarding.

Cons

Employees are not held to any sort of reasonable professional standard. Where it directly impacted this role at the time was that at least 25 hours every week were spent essentially begging employees to turn in time cards rather than doing anything productive. Standards seemed pretty inconsistent at times. The company felt a little aimless. There were several conflicting plans for the future. My understanding is that in the six months after my separation, they more or less replaced the entire staff for various reasons. Maybe they got it figured out now.
