Revolving door of leadership where only the bottom line matters - Sr. Director GoTo Employee Review

Pros

Benefits are great, first Fridays of each month off, unlimited PTO (as long as you can find the time to use it)

Cons

When you ultimately work for a private investment firm, there's only one thing that matters, and that's the bottom line $$$$. Francisco Partners has proven this over and over again with the revolving door of leadership. If you're not performing to their expectations, out you go and in comes the next, often hand picked by Francisco Partners themselves. What's worse is that these new leaders coming in seem to have no interest in getting to know their teams and what they've been working on in the last months/years. They simply come in assuming they know better. They ignore all the accomplishments that were made before them, and then they bring with them their colleagues from their previous company and put them in leadership positions instead of giving existing folks an opportunity to be promoted. GoTo is simply the new Ring Central. Beyond that - the tech bro culture is as real as it gets at GoTo. DEI efforts are admirable, but they've made little impact. Hope you like working with a bunch of white males who continue to bring in their white male coworkers and promote them first.

While we’re glad that you enjoyed the benefits and flexibility at GoTo, we’re sorry your overall experience wasn’t better. As for your comments about leadership, our CEO, Paddy Srinivasan, has been at GoTo for eight years, previously serving as our Chief Product Officer. A prime example of giving existing folks an opportunity to be promoted. Our CHRO, Jo Deal, has been at GoTo for four years and our SVP of Customer Experience, Scott Romesser, has enjoyed an 18-year tenure – five at GoTo and the previous years at Citrix. As is normal for any business, we do benefit from leadership changes from time to time. We understand everyone’s experience is different and want to convey that we hear you and appreciate your honesty, especially regarding our DEI initiatives. Everyone at GoTo should feel seen, represented, and respected. We assure you that our commitment to a culture of belonging is one of our top priorities, and that starts with more representation. We’ll continue to improve from here. Thank you for your review.

Pros

Remote and unfortunately that is it

Cons

Sales org is in disarray, constant changes to quota, replaced all of inbound with reps in Guatemala, very low and inconsistent lead flow. Maybe 25% of reps will hit quota month over month
