Pros

As it is an international organisation, you will benefit from the expertise of the international team. The team at the international level has a good spirit of collective effort and collective development.

Cons

Some things are managed at the international level and do not fit the regional requirements. Small countries are sometimes forgotten and so are small offices.

Pros

The UNGA is a busy time at the UN, this provides a lot of excellent experience. The team works well and tries its best to ensure it is a beneficial one. Unlike many internships related to the UN, it is paid a stipend, which makes a difference

Cons

The stipend is not quite enough to live on, but it is fair for 3 days a week.

Pros

Friendly and inspiring environment. You really feel at the center of humanitarian work and that you can contribute to concrete impacts for vulnerable people.

Cons

Management does not always coach employees in new roles and too much turnover. Difficulties in balancing work and family life when you're hired on a contract basis.
