Pros

Only reason why I kept working at IKEA was the benefits I was getting. I would barely pay anything to have medical and dental insurance and they had 401k where they matched up to 3% of what was put in 100% and after that they matched up to 50%. They are very flexible in giving you the days off you really need and are willing to work with you if you have either another job or school. The people you work with are really down to earth and you get to know them on a real personal level. One of the perks of working there is that you get to meet a lot of diverse people from different backgrounds.

Cons

Definitely tell that there was favoritism within the company. You had to pretty much be a brown noser to get anywhere. Upper management didn't know what was going on within the store, didn't know how to do anything, and they would pretty much sit in there office and would only come down to criticize your work. Makes me wonder how they even got to that position in the first place. Many employees are unhappy working there and they only stick around because they can't find anything else right now in this economy. IKEA is defnitely underpaid and understaffed and they expect you to work in other departments that isn't yours. When it gets extremely busy, the managers don't help out at all, they just sit in their office staring at their computers.

Pros

Good work environment Pay is good Job keeps you busy

Cons

Lack of communication with leadership and coworkers. Leadership seems to have favorites Schedule takes too long to make Seems that there's people who would like the be full time or part time that are temporary right now aren't getting the positions. Feels like nepotism but maybe I'm wrong. Getting responses like you didn't get the job because you didn't answer your interview questions right just seems unnecessary The amount of drama happening is getting out of hand and leadership doesn't seem to care
