The expectations from some particular people were ridiculous. When people quit, they weren't replaced. Their responsibilities were just absorbed by others with no recompense. So while the work was fairly easy, there was just so much of it for one person wearing multiple hats that burn out was high, with no reward. There was also toxic behaviour from some particular people, and even though most colleagues were great, the few that weren't made going to work really suck.
