Pros

Customer Interactions are always fun. You learn how to accept that superiors are often racist, rude, disrespectful, and generally do not see you as human beings.

Cons

Staff are extremely racist. Do not expect equal or even respectful treatment if you are a foreign worker. Superiors will revel in every chance to say something rude, micromanage and make foreign employees life miserable. Schedules are only shared every sunday for the coming 2 weeks, making sure that you never know your schedule more than 2 weeks ahead, and by the time it is saturday you would only know your schedule for the next 8 days. Employees are often let go at 12 or 24 months, to avoid increasing hourly wages. In summary: if you are German, great. If you are non-German white good, and if you are anything other than those then goodluck.

Pros

Experience varies heavily depending on the owner/operator you work for. Free and discounted food. 2 weeks PTO. Vision, Dental and Health insurance. Offers rapid development opportunities.

Cons

Work-life balance is nonexistent. In fact, the director of operations has stated numerous times, “Work life balance is a myth”. The company states you are required to work 45 hrs/week minimum; Realistically, GM’s can expect to work 55-60 hours in store with constant calls and messages when home. The company does not count any work done outside of the restaurant toward your 45hr requirement. There is no training for this position as you are expected to figure it out on the job. They offer $2000 per month performance bonus but are always finding new ways to disqualify you and move the goalposts when you actually earn it.
