Pros

If you're lucky, you'll absorb what's left of a strong brand history and product legacy that once was created by an even stronger culture of corporate pride and identity; excelling, achieving, and setting the bar for organic tech innovation; and placing a maniacal focus on product quality, and superlative customer service.

Cons

The only focus is on shareholder value and stock price. Employees and customers are regularly sacrificed to make financial reporting goals. Quality department virtually non-existent outside of a small pocket in Supply Chain. ISO 9000 and other standards of excellence have been abandoned. Ratio of experienced employees (+5 years) to newer, inexperienced employees (<5 years) is 1:1. Small cabal of executives have let their egos run amok and publicly reward each other for every increase in stock price, but say/ do nothing to acknowledge or justify the chaos that exists among under-staffed, brain-drained, teams.

Pros

I highly value the autonomy I am given to manage my own workload, and I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with several of my talented colleagues.

Cons

That independence comes at a cost. The company is incredibly disorganized and siloed. Management will force lateral moves on you without asking; I've ended up balancing four different roles with absolutely no pay increase. Requests for fair compensation compared to the peers I trained were completely ignored. Territories change constantly, but zero training is provided. You are essentially left entirely on your own to figure it out.
