Pros
java developers were always ahead of industry standard and it brought both the pain and fun.
Cons
people were always chasing new shinny objects in technical innovation which often led to multiple standard without any objectives.. kind of getting lost every time. Right now everyone is busy trying to get into IoT platform (ThingWorx) with little to no success. I am not sure if they will reach anywhere. very expensive solutions. Not sure if PTC will get anywhere near PLM solutions.
