Business Outlook
Pros
Working with a team of very smart people in an interesting industry during a time of transformation is a rewarding experience. The overall comp and benefits package has generally been reasonable.
Cons
We're often understaffed for what we're asked to accomplish and not enough attention is paid to properly alleviating internal technical debt that ends up costing significant engineering resources unnecessarily. Also, as with many big companies, it takes a long time and too many meetings to make a positive change. As far as compensation goes, while PTC was doing reasonable, recently they're falling behind market expectations.
