Pros

good money, flexibility in working hours

Cons

1.) There is higher than usual amount of what I would term vicious politics (its like a war in a zoo honestly); my direct superior distorted information constantly before giving info on project progress to middle management thereby making the real person doing the work look bad to make them look good - they will constantly throw you under the bus. 2.) Lack of transparency and dishonesty; lots of closed door meetings where you are excluded because its more politics than work. 3.) Backstabbing & gossip - lots of it. 4.) Your direct report may not want to share knowledge necessary to do the work because they fear you will take over their own jobs, for the same reason they will not document work. 5.) Culture clash - if you must work here you must be well versed in Chinese/ Indian values/ culture, for example, if you say what you honestly think and are completely honest, it may be considered a 'loss of face' and you will be punished. You dare not argue a valid point with superiors too. 6.) Bad staff are let to stay because they are friends of management. 7.) Limited chances for career advancement.

Pros

Great design team. Learn a lot in the project. Great resources for self motivated technical improvement.

Cons

Big wave of talented engineers leaving in some critical departments. CEO lacks responsibility on the company development. CEO and CFO have been selling their stocks a lot every year.
