Pros
Culture: is among the most overused terms in business today but Qualtrics has what companies aspire to. Yes, there is free food and basketball hoops but that is an aesthetic and has nothing to do with real culture. People work insanely hard and are laser focused on company, team and individual success - but without taking ourselves too seriously. Laughter is a constant sound throughout every day. Career path and velocity are unrivaled. While most entry positions aren't the very best you'll find, ability to move up and up and up from an entry level position IS THE VERY BEST YOU'LL FIND. Most entry level employees are EXPECTED to be promoted two if not three times in their first 18 months. Absolute expectation of excellence. I've been in meetings where most would be celebrating success and we were running a postmortem to determine why we "failed" - as in you get a 98% on the hardest course your school offers and your immediate reaction is to deep dive on why you didn't get 100%. Said differently "Good enough at Qualtrics literally means not good enough."
Cons
In any hyper-growth environment, everything is constantly in flux - you must be able to deal with a small but constant degree of disfunction. For those that enjoy optimization and problem solving, this is your dream. For those that want 100% stability and consistency and cannot tolerate even a small degree of change, this place is your nightmare. Level of competition internally is too tough for most... with a ~5% hire rate Qualtrics is one of the most talented collection of professionals anywhere, meaning some that are used to being top 10% are simply not going to be top 10% at Qualtrics. It is a put up or shut up environment.
