First of all I was a 25 year veteran of Contracts Management with industry leaders Flour, Parsons, Halliburton, and with the Arabian American Oil Company. So I was thoroughly experienced in both Federal and Commercial Contracts Management. While at SAIC I had
Extreme difficulty keeping up with daily assignments in a timely fashion. It seemed as though the office was months behind in Contracts and Procurement facilitation when I arrived. The Database was not conducive to allowing for protocols input to be accomplished expeditiously and comprehensively. Constantly rushed to produce results within goals that were impossible to meet considering that I was making am effort to keep up with the daily input and also working to bring previous work up to speed. And, as a result, pertinent documentation and approvals required to meet the Federal Acquisition Regulations criteria were not met. I do not know how Federal Audits were able to be accomplished successfully in this environment. I did request temporary administrative assistance and was denied. As such my decision to seek other avenues of employment at the time.
