Pros

Good benefits, health insurance, pension etc. There is opportunity to work your way up in the company if you try hard enough and know how to waffle.

Cons

If you want to be worked to the bone with no praise, only criticism then this is the perfect job for you. Team members are expected to train new employees regardless of their own workload and not to mention the fact that there’s already a “technical trainer” employed at the company. No idea how they got that role as all they do is show face when there’s audits around and then disappear again, can’t even get a an email back most of the time. Shift work is hard in any job but you sign up for that when you take the job but when it’s 4am in the morning and you are the only member on the team trying to keep the place from burning down and also trying to train a new team member whilst not making mistakes it gets a little hard. Not to mention the fact that there’s already is absolutely ZERO gratitude from team leads or managers for any of these efforts but all hell breaks loose the second you make a mistake. All this company cares about is money no matter what the cost is they don’t care about their employees mental or physical well being. The team leads are bullies and they all talk about the operators behind their backs to other operators. Sexism is crazy here all the males are let sit down and do nothing but the females get criticized if they make one mistake. They shout and curse at you when they see fit and they uphold a zero tolerance attitude for mistakes no matter what the situation is. And don’t EVER call in sick because they will hold it over you for your entire employment at the company. But they can disappear for hours on shift and that’s okay.

Pros

Nice people to work with, not too pushy from direct supervisor

Cons

Pay is not as high as other big pharma, work culture starting to become toxic. We are starting to get more and more micromanaged in terms of needing to log exact work hours in the work computer. That becomes difficult when you are lab facing and not always on your laptop
