Pros
Genzyme is currently expanding the facility and is hiring more employees which cannot be said for many companies. However we are in the booming biotechnology age and even in harsh economic times big pharma and medical device companies will continue to prosper.
Cons
Genzyme went from winning awards for being a great place to work to, in my opinion, becoming a very unpleasant place to work. The hours are very long, all the time, and there are extended periods of time for some groups where the hours are so incredibly long, there is absolutely no time for anything else except work, food, and a little bit of sleep.
