Pros
Work environment - Work life balance - Diversity - Opportunies to navigate across the organisation (international mobility)
Cons
- The CFO is now in control of the company: squeezing all expenses and budgets for a single objective: EBIT @17% and a higher share value - Strategy is limited to 1/ increase prices to customers 2/ Beat the teams on infinite productivity 3/ Run the operations with opportunistic & short term objectives - Investments are cut, projects and R&D must be "small", hires are almost frozen in mature countries - Technical expertise is vanishing as seniors retire without decent transmission processes - No more product innovation: Most of the new products are just "refreshed" 15 years old designs - The number of new patents is just apalling (but instructive) for such a group - Teams now totally spread over the world cumulating inefficiencies and political games. - Non stop "BS" on Ecostruxure which makes the execs look good on stage, but is meaningless for most of the employees and customers - Execs became arrogant and blind because Siemens and ABB now face their own challenges - Company acquisitions/integrations "fail" one after the other (Pelco, Telvent, Areva...) - Permanent communication on sustainable development while begging for Oilg&Gas business in "grey" countries... and divesting the Solar business ! - Profit sharing, incentive plans, and bonuses were cut in 2019, again just to make the EBIT look good.
