Pros

They offer flexible schedule options. Medical benefits are ok. Initial training is well done. if you just meed a job, have never worked in healthcare and have a lot of availability then this is the place for you.

Cons

A lot of workplace bullying goes on especially if you are not of a certain background. Managers do not seem to care about the values they preach. Its a very unprofessional environment. There is no consequences for bad behavior so they must have very high turnover. There is a break room but its too small for the large facility and usually dirty. Bathrooms breakdown often. Employees tend to be on personal calls during patient interactions violating privacy laws. Managers are aware and will not enforce laws. MAs are poorly trained in how to interact with patients and discuss patient charts etc in the hallways. If you value healthcare than I would look elsewhere. All around terrible leadership. Lots of meetings but no follow through. For the level of healthcare you are receiving, medical premiums should be covered 100%.

Pros

Sun Life provides competitive benefits, remote work opportunities, and the chance to work alongside knowledgeable professionals. The company offers strong learning opportunities within the disability and leave management space.

Cons

Staffing reductions and increasing workloads have made it difficult for some teams to maintain service levels while preserving employee well-being. Leadership communication and support can vary by department.
