Pros

Some co workers and leads were friendly.

Cons

There is a great deal of misleading information about the job responsibilities and tasks described during the very impersonal interview process. From day one the work environment was unfriendly and toxic. Many of the team leads and etl’s lack a positive mindset which affects the associates. I heard slander and gossip from management about co workers during my first week. A good deal of cussing, anger and unprofessional talk from management which was very unpleasant and unnerving to be around. There is lack of smiling and basic friendliness. It felt like I walked into a depressing sad environment not the “joy” Target talked about in the interview videos. I was told one of the leads had trouble controlling their emotions but that it was no big deal. How is someone promoted who is known to have trouble controlling their emotions? There is no accountability from management as they are all friends so the bad behavior continues. The store is a disaster. Isles are packed with pallets of boxes stacked very high. Piles of clothes on the floor, products overstuffed on the shelves and in the wrong location. It’s a very depressing environment to not only work in but to shop in as well. The back room/receiving area is beyond a disaster. I have never been in such a poorly managed Target before. Safety at this store is not a priority. $16/ hour is not enough money for the amount of work that is required. You will be doing the work of 2-3 people. New Hampshire is listed as having one of the highest living expenses in the country, $16/hr is too low. I was asked several times to come in on my day off.
