Pros

Remote work, flexibility, reasonably good bonuses, great place to dive straight in(you'll have no choice) and learn as much as possible, never boring. Charasmatic CEO and personable ELT.

Cons

Chaotic, constant firefighting, half of the employees (across multiple different business functions) have no idea what they're doing, chronically understaffed in some areas. Some long serving management with unbeliveably abrasive personalities, that are woefully inept in any kind of people management skills. When I pointed out one such manager in my exit interview, the HR person told me this was trend, yet nothing is ever done about it, and that person remains. While I did enjoy working here most of the time, and it was great to be constantly challenged, the level of pay was not commensurate with the job itself. Initially you think the salary is reasonable, but it soon becomes apparent that they have completely low-balled you. Any kind of salary increase was dimissed out of hand. When I advised I would be leaving for a higher paid position elsewhere, no counter offer was made, and there was no attempt to retain me. This was disappointing, considering I was one of the most experienced and knowledgeable team members, and had built excellent relationships with multiple stakeholders across the business. During my first few days with the company I heard from no one at all, with the exception of a brief 30 min induction with HR. I had no idea what I should be doing, or who I was working with. Everyone was too busy to engage with me. A hell of a first impression! Zero career advancement opportunities that I was aware of, although this is an issue with most employers. Staff turnover seems to be an issue. People soon realise there's better paying jobs out there, with companies and management that are a pleasure to work for, and who have the time to train them competently, and reward them fairly.

Pros

Flexibility of working time Unlimited personal days Get to travel around the world Compensation & benefits

Cons

Generally more than a 40 hour week. Working globally, you could be up as early as 5:00 am for calls and as late as 11:00 pm at night or 1:00 in the morning. Working remotely in a global role can sometimes be exhausting as you’re generally in meeting (video calls) during core business hours and having to get work done around the calls.
