Pros

Working at thyssenkrupp Presta offers solid exposure to cutting-edge automotive technologies, especially in steering and mobility systems. As part of a globally established brand, employees benefit from job security, structured workflows, and access to international projects. The company fosters a multicultural environment with opportunities to collaborate across Germany, Hungary, Liechtenstein, and China. It also supports professional growth through internal training, technical upskilling, and soft skill development programs. Flexible work arrangements, such as hybrid options and adjustable hours, support work-life balance in many roles. The compensation and benefits package, including healthcare and relocation support, is competitive in most locations. For engineers, there is valuable experience to be gained working on real-time embedded systems, PLM processes, and cross-functional project execution. Overall, it’s a great place for steady career progression and technical depth in the automotive domain.

Cons

Despite the advantages, thyssenkrupp Presta’s large corporate structure often leads to bureaucratic slowdowns and complex decision-making chains. Career advancement may feel slow in certain locations or departments where the hierarchy is rigid and internal movement is limited. Communication between global sites can sometimes be misaligned, affecting productivity and clarity. Project-based roles may involve intense deadlines and heavy workloads, especially during delivery phases. Some internal systems are outdated, and digital transformation is still catching up in parts of the organization. While English is used widely, German-language documentation and communication may still be a barrier in some teams. In addition, innovation is sometimes constrained by compliance-heavy processes and legacy workflows. These factors can make the work environment feel conservative and slow-paced for those seeking a more agile or startup-like atmosphere.
