Where to begin..
Micromanagement beyond the pale. Seriously like nothing else I have ever known. Results are irrelevant unless you are carrying out your tasks *exactly* as specified. Upper management would rather sub optimal results than grant any sort of autonomy.
Severe lack of trust from leadership. Blame culture is rife - a good leader in my opinion shelters their team from board challenges where possible. Not at Expleo. These challenges are filtered down. Their stress is your stress and what’s worse; if it all goes right, it was luck, if it goes wrong - it’s your fault.
Not one market facing female left in the leadership team. All market facing members are male, white and over 50.
Employees are not listened to. Any opinions in contrast to those in leadership positions are shut down immediately. If you dare to speak your mind, there’s a target on your back.
Everyone is miserable. It is widely acknowledged that one senior individual is responsible for the toxicity running through this organisation, but the general apathy combined with how ground down everyone is means many just accept it.
A few ‘Expleo lifers’ getting away with inappropriate behaviour and navel gazing whilst taking the credit for others’ work - which again leaders seem to applaud.
They think they are a consultancy but really, they are nothing more than a glorified recruitment agency with an archaic testing software service, run by people whose only experience is within Expleo, formerly SQS. People who simply cannot, or will not entertain any new or fresh ideas.
Work life balance is nonexistent. Late night and weekend working is normalised. You are made to feel as though you are not pulling your weight if you dare to do something else with your Saturday and Sunday.
There are so many more progressive, people centric consultancies out there. Give this one a massive miss if you value your time, career and skills,
Honestly, just don’t waste your time here.
