Where do I start. Was promised my home location and a 40 hour contract over the phone. Was then told on my induction day a different location and a 0 hour contract. Was then given 16 hours work for the week… when I’ve applied for a full time role how is £160 a week enough to get by? Upon arrival I was greeted by one of the store assistants, I then learn that there is no manager on site and that there most likely will not be one. I then get shown to the locker room which is also your kitchen… enough said there I think. I then inspect the moped that I was to use, I noticed damage on the moped to the point where I could pull the entire front end off with one finger. The mopeds were all absolutely filthy and clearly never get cleaned, I asked a rider if they’ve ever cleaned them he told me not in the 6 months he was there. Another rider also reported that he had faulty brakes, that seems safe right. Second to last point, no names or locations will be mentioned but there was a rider who decided to smoke some cannabis while at work openly in front of the depot. And my last point I’ll cover is the fact that you can be told your finishing at midnight, yet as I did finish at almost 1am as you need to bring all the bikes into the store for lock up, but you’re only told this when you go to clock out and go home at midnight. All in all id recommend going absolutely anywhere else and only work here for a very short time while finding better work or if you really can’t find a job.
