Pros
WFH friendly, no micromanagement (ymmv) beautiful offices with lots of on-site parks.
Cons
Having been at Google for nearly 10 years, the original culture has been eroded away from all the external exec/management hiring and the shameful layoff of 12,000 employees at random. Travel and fun budgets have been eliminated, the yearly holiday gift is long gone, things have become way more bureaucratic and opaque. Execs are getting huge bonuses while employees are getting 2% raises. Fairly broken promotion/compensation structure.
