Pros

This is only for people who enjoy fast paced environment. Never there is the same day, very operational company, rules must be followed and adhered to. You will be given all the support should you wish to progress, given you put the hard work. You can use the initiative and ideas, will not be micromanaged and your effort will be acknowledged. You will hone your commercial skills, as the company is big on KPI's, leadership and analytical skills. You will use analysis on a daily basis as you will have to know your business. You will be responsible for every aspect of your business, from managing your stock, what is your peak hour, who is your customer, do money mapping, explore opportunities to maximise the sale, initiate marketing for your store, organise events and many more. You will attend monthly Model Store trainings where you will master VM skills and get to know other managers. Promotions are realistic and fast and you can move into any area of business, as long as you have the skills required for it. You can literally move from the lowest rank to the Director's role. Fast. A very complex, agile and forward thinking retail environment.

Cons

You will have to put an enormous amount of work and hours. You will definitely lose on social life. As the matter of fact your life becomes Hugo Boss life. Only when you get to the Store Manager's position you can see the benefits, in terms of the further training and financial renumeration. Anything less than that is paid less then industry average. You will be challenged and pressurised on daily basis. You will be short staffed as a norm and yet you will have to achieve everything set for the store. KPI's, daily, weekly, monthly, like for like sales, conversion, order from store (on line in store sales). You will be stringently rated on your store maintenance, staff synergy, pushed to the point of exhaustion and questioned constantly about the performance. Not for people who are stress prone and with low endurance.

Pros

Benefits; Canteen; Gym; Work from home; Flexible hours; Pension scheme;

Cons

The company's culture is not reflected in employee's actions! A lot of people are superficial and do not care about others. Furthermore, they are selfish and think way too highly of themselves. But most of all, people are stuck within those walls: they adapt slowly to change and do not think outside of the box. Diversity is promoted as a value but everyone is practically the same. It is a pity that people having success within the company are the ones that love to criticize the others instead of cooperating.

Pros

It is a very relaxed environment to work in as long as you are hitting your targets and your KPIs are strong.

Cons

Shift work. Can be very boring if the store is quiet.
