Pros

Work is never boring at Henkel. There are always a diverse group of colleagues to work with whether they are from Germany or China or Manila or the US. The Company values innovation and efficiency. No one is pigeon-holed and if you like foreign travel, the opportunities are there.

Cons

HIPOs are the in thing. The younger you are the more you can be considered one leading solid older employees to feel less valued even if they are solid at their jobs. The review process is done so that every year, a certain percentage of people are required to be M which leads to less of a bonus and merit increase for them. You can think you put in a Strong performance all year long and then the VPs go into a room and come out telling you otherwise. One bad project or visible mistake can lead to a low rating. This leads to a lot of distrust and teamwork, although espoused is difficult when those around you are looking to cut you down so that they won't be Ms.

Pros

Strong support from leadership, lots of growth opportunities. Henkel is family oriented, adn supportive and flexible in regards to work/life balance. One of the few companies that still offer competitive bonus opportunities.

Cons

German company, management seems to take all direction from Corporate headquarters.Little input requested from the regions. To really grow in the company, you must do a job rotation in Germany, and there are limited options to do so. For them to come here seems much easier.
