Pros

There's a lot to learn, love the different cultures you interact with since all nationalities are represented, immense opportunities for growth, and wonderful colleagues.

Cons

Can be difficult to introduce change or innovations especially if you're not at the top.. Delays in approvals and integration of staff engagement activities.. Since there's too much going on. Short term contracts are a discouragement as you can't really accomplish much in a short time..

While not as good as at UN agencies, the benefits at IFRC are quite good.

Cons

IFRC is an extremely hierarchical and bureaucratic organizations. It stifles innovation and creativity.
