Pros

IKEA has a fantastic benefits package. Who else gives, and subsidizes benefits for part time employees?? They are extremely supportive of family vs. work life. I've never been given a hard time for staying home with a sick child or needing time off for personal reasons. Everyone is very friendly.

Cons

On your feet a lot. Yellow shirts, of course, but you get used to it. Being a sales coworker means when you close the store you've got to stay until every department is done. Sometimes this encourages other departments to be lazy, knowing that others will come and do the work just to go home.

Pros

IKEA is one of the best employers I have worked for. The pay is decent, but hours are typically focused around the weekend.

Cons

Unfortunately, IKEA has several co-workers that really don't care how they treat customers. This reflects badly on the store as a whole.
