Its a very comfortable but very monotonous life that one gets to lead in Infosys. By my experience it has been a complete waste of my 2 years there. More emphasis is laid to facts such as number of documentations submitted or the number of times one participates in events. Teh certification which are mostly farce are compulsory for role change, why on earth will somebody with an experience of 5-6 years be concerned about giving these exams.

As somebody who was hired in the US out of college, it is one of the worst places to work. There's a huge work culture shock once you enter the company - people speak in foreign languages at work and you can feel the tangible gap between Indian and the non-Indians. Environment is pretty competitive and people tend to keep knowledge to themselves. Management is bias and favors their puppets. If you're ok with not questioning authority, doing as your told and being treated like a IT slave, join Infosys. If you have any sort of aspiration to get ahead in life, stay away from this job shop.
