Pros

Excellent systematic training in technology and processes. Several months of training with full pay and without any kind of bond for freshers. Had a good rapport with immediate managers.Average age is less. so youthful atmosphere. Excellent place for freshers.

Cons

Has become bureaucratic. HR frames rules without considering ground realities. Has a mandatory 9.5hrs/day irrespective of whether you have work or not or whether u had worked 12/13 hrs per day in the previous project. Earlier there was no such rule. everything including compensatory off , work life balance depends on clients. Earlier promotion was from developer, analyst and project manager. Now has several layers inserted so everyone can be promoted without having any change in the kind of job being done. very little chance for people expecting technical expertise since only managerial roles are available for experienced people.

Pros

They pay you full salary while on the bench up to probably over a year. They don't fire or lay off people. Constantly hiring. Easy way to start off a career.

Cons

No career advancement. First promotion takes 4 years and that's almost nothing. It takes 8 years to become Project Manager. No choices or preferences for locations, industries, or work. No bonuses or personal incentives. Incompetent HR and poor policies. Retention rate for US hires is less than 1 year. Basically, you have no future if you are not Indian.

Pros

My opinion - Great Knowledge management, ultra cool process driven environment for almost anything(downsides also), major emphasis on people skills, strong on quality work, best in the world infrastructure and facilities, global policy behavior which helps every employee to get benefits based on business performance (major downsides also- my frustration points later). Company follows most of it's values defined by C-LIFE [C]ustomer [L]eadership pursuit of [E]xcellence except the [F]airness and [I]ntegrity and transparency.

Cons

Poor in innovation, just don't want to file patents for saving costs, even though large number of employees come up with innovative patent application (like me, did not get an acknowledgment forget about filing even 12 months after sending patent application). People are reluctant to share good ideas, important information unless they are sure that it will bring great rewards, just kills innovation. Fails in transparency too, important decisions which affects other employees are directly taken by management without any involvement of the employees. Employees major frustrations are over onsite opportunities which are totally based on luck and relationship with manager and not all on go to onsite because of their skills. Other frustrations are over salary benefits and appraisals at all levels because those who perform well do not get their fair share of due to global policy behavior, kills Fairness. Large size is making the company bureaucratic.
