Pros

The people at Ingram Micro are great. By people, I mean people on your team, not the middle-management. You can get through your day because of the immediate people you work with.

Cons

Some of the middle-management are jokes. They manage by threats and fear. Some have gotten to their level by no effort of their own, they look at their team as their minions to their work. These managers have no idea how to manage a team yet their can snow their own bosses to get them to think they did the work.

Pros

Ok place to launch a career and get some experience, but don't stick around too long. Decent training and education programs.

Cons

Low pay Pay raises hardly match inflation Stingy tight fisted management no work life balance management will treat you as if you are a robot by expecting the most hours and efficiency from you with no regard to your pay, family, work-life balance. the company doesn't care about employee health. Management would rather you get sick and die than spend a little more money on your care and well being. Look at other options before work here.

Pros

If you're in Toronto, it's a great place to work. Lots of people and friends to meet. Great way to start your career, meet a lot of vendors, free lunches, prizes etc. It's a fortune 100 place to work. It's a public company, it's also a place where you can retire. Pay your dues, and find ways to advance yourself. There are a lot of bonuses. If you are the top 1 % of the company, you get to travel all expense paid for vacation with other people around North America.

Cons

- Quota system, you have to meet quotas in order to make your commission. - It's not that competitive but it's could be a place that's hard to overcome obstacles. It's always hard to make changes in the company. -There are a lot of veterans who are really bored and tired of their work.
